About Us

In May 0f 2005, when they titled their second CD project, Out of the Darkness, Adam and Kathy Glover had NO idea that God would use that title to focus their music ministry in a new direction – that of ministering to hurting people and helping them to come out of the darkness and walk in the light of Jesus Christ (I John 1:7).

Although they had trusted Jesus Christ for salvation and received forgiveness for their sins, it wasn’t until they were married nine years that they faced many of the issues that needed healing in their own lives and marriage.  And, as they share their past and journey of healing in services, they know without a doubt they are doing exactly as God would have them to do.  Time and time again, The Glovers have stood in awe as people flock to the altar to surrender the shame and guilt they have been carrying around for years and trade their darkness for God’s healing light.

On February 8, 2005, Kathy wrote “Saving My Life” with Zane King at his Journey Records studio in Smyrna, Tennessee.  Three days later, The Glovers gave their testimony “publicly” for the very first time. At their home church, they talked about their history with abortions, their nearly failed marriage, playing the “church” game, and secrets they kept well hidden for nine years of marriage.

This past couple of years, The Glovers’ ministry has seen overwhelming numbers of men and women come out of the darkness with past secrets, some with deep secrets they’ve kept inside for as many as 70 years including: rape, suicide attempts, abortions, divorce, even a witness to murder.  It has been an extraordinary experience !  Their testimony is giving people “permission” to talk about their pain and allowing Jesus to begin a process of healing freedom in their lives.

In April 2005, both Adam and Kathy completed a training course in Greenville, South Carolina, to facilitate post-abortion healing.  Kathy recently co-facilitated her second post-abortion Bible study, “Forgiven and Set Free.”  Several of the women who have participated in this study were there because they had heard The Gloverstestimony in service.  One of these women is in her late 50’s and had an abortion 30 years ago.  She had NEVER told anyone until she whispered in Kathy’s ear that night during a revival service.  Together, the couple currently has also lead a Bible study entitled, “Your Scars Are Beautiful to God” written by Sharon Jaynes.

In September of 2006, Kathy co-wrote, “Hidden Secrets” with popular songwriter, Chris Binion.  This song reminds the church how “hidden secrets and woven lies” lead to destruction in our lives.  The song goes on to show us how true freedom only comes when we let go and turn them ALL over to God because, “His love is unconditional and He already knows our hidden secrets, woven lies.”  Listen for this song as well as their latest single, “One Good Reason” on their newest CD entitled, “One Good Reason.”

In the gospel music world, the first single from their “Out of the Darkness” project, “Hurtin’ People, entered the Singing News chart in February 2006 where it stayed for five months. The charting of this song has enabled The Glovers’ music and testimonies to be heard across the country.  The second single off that same CD, “Glory Bound,” gave them their very first Top 40 hit on the Singing News chart in January of 2007.  And, their third single release off the same CD, “Behind the Rock” hit the Singing News chart as well.

The Glovers  were selected to participate in 2005, 2006, 2007 and the upcoming 2008  National Quartet Convention sactioned showcases as well as several other showcases at the convention and were also invited to participate in the January 2007, “Future of Southern Gospel Music” special edition of the Singing News Magazine.

This year, God is expanding The Glovers’ ministry both in territory and in size. The Glovers have added several states to their ministry schedule and they have just recently given birth to their fourth child, Briley Leighann who was born on April 9th of this year.  They have three other children, Shelby (13), Justin (11), and Carter (4).

The Glovers have obtained 501-C3 “not for profit” organization status officially titled, “Out of the Darkness Ministries, Inc.This status is enabling The Glovers  to include speaking engagements in conjunction with women’s, men’s and family ministry resource programs as well as for pregnancy crisis centers across the country.  The Glovers are also in partnership with Compassion International in its mission to “release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.”  To learn more about this incredible mission, log on to the Glovers’ website and click on the Compassion logo.

In November 2007, an MCI motorcoach was donated to The Glovers and “Out of the Darkness Ministries” to enable them to take their ministry and entire family on the road with much more intensity this year.

God is placing The Glovers in the forefront of an incredible journey to especially begin to bring the adult victims of abortion to the saving and healing knowledge of Jesus Christ.  They will also accomplish this task by helping to educate churches on post-abortion healing and by helping them set up post-abortion healing programs within the church.
